The Value of Specialized Instructional Support Personnel in School and Student Outcomes

Wednesday, April 27 – 12:00pm (Eastern)

Specialized Instructional Support Personnel (SISP) provide services that can benefit all students, and have incredibly positive outcomes, but only if our schools take advantage of all SISP can do as part of the instructional team.

Hear from a panel of experts on some examples of best practices of how SISP can be part of the multidisciplinary team to provide and support school-based prevention and intervention services to address barriers to educational success, ensure positive conditions for learning, and help all students achieve academically.

Join us for a panel discussion of professionals representing the major SISP sectors

Moderator: Phyllis Wolfram, Executive Director, Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE)

  • Matthew Lewis, Principal Garfield Elementary School, Lewistown, MT
  • Nicole Pfirman, M.Ed., OTR/L, Prevention & Wellness Supervisor, Mason City Schools, Mason, OH
  • April Turner, NASP 2022 School Psychologist of the Year
  • Amber Weldon-Stephens, EdS, MEd, LPMT, MT-BC, Department Chair and Internship Director for the Music Therapy Department, Fulton County School System in Atlanta, GA
